Job Description:
The eCommerce Platform team in India has few exciting positions with responsibilities of being one of the senior most technical leaders in Amazon (India). These positions are open for creative and independent engineers with a passion to define and build Amazon's next-generation Order management platform that result in significant Intellectual Property. The next generation of e-Commerce sites will be built on our technology, and we need sharp people to build the features and systems that will power that growth. The person will help define a layered architecture from core service APIs, aggregated APIs, applets, data models and policy control that fit the Web Services architecture e.g. restful APIs.
As a member of the team, he/she will pioneer new architectural and design choices, invent new features, develop distributed services, and build a massively scalable, rock-solid platform solution using object-oriented C/C++ & Java on various UNIX-flavored platforms. We are a fast-paced environment, using agile methodology and lightweight SOA design patterns. We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle. If he/she is a strong developer with experience in or strong interest in high-volume websites, distributed systems and databases, performance/ scalability or network programming, we'd like to talk to them.
