HP UNIX

Experience 4-6 years --Position 2

-Strong HP-UX experience a must
-Experience with VxVM/ Vxfs/LVM and disk groups
-Configuring and managing vPAR and nPAR based HP-UX machines
-Creating BCV scripts and performing splits, mounts, and synchronization of BCVs
-MC/ServiceGuard clustering experience a must
-Server builds including DR scenario
-OS installs and upgrades
-Installation of layered software products
-NFS,NIS and DNS concept and configuration.
-Patch maintenance
-Performance monitoring and tuning such as Glance Plus and Glance Plus Pack for HPUX systems)
-Knowledge about SAN and making the SAN storage visible to the system.
-Advance troubleshooting.

Solaris & Veritas Administrator

• Proficient in Storage Administration including SUN Storage Hardware(SUN storage 6500 & 3500,T3 etc) with Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File System andRAID Manager.
• Proficient in Installation and administration of Veritas volume manager & veritas file system.
o Monitoring the memory usage, CPU usage and disk utilization of Solaris servers.
o Able to do performance tuning and troubleshoorting and system related log analysis from OS and Hardware perspective.
o Resolving hardware error messages generated by Solaris syslogd daemons.
o Worked as solaris system administrator extensively of Solaris 2.x,7,8,9,10 on implementation and trouble shooting.
o Worked on 24x7 OPS production environment having hetrogeneous setup.
o Worked on Various Enterprise servers like SF6800,V890,V440,V220 and netra series.
o Worked on clustering setups like SUN clusters 3.x & veritas cluster 3.x
o Exposure of to Enterprise Storage like HP 12K,1024 and EMC DMX series & Netapps..
o Exposure of Zoning and fabric switch administration..
