We are currently looking for Application Administrator with 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft, UNIX, WebLogic and/or other application server experience and must be able to provide management of multiple Windows and UNIX applications running on IIS, WebLogic etc:
• 3 to 5 years experience in a large Windows (strong exp ) and/or UNIX (medium exp) environment – system (medium) administration and application (strong) level experience
• WebLogic, IIS, or other J2EE Platform Experience is a must.
Advanced proficiency with network concepts and utilities including DNS, TCP/IP, etc.
• Database proficiency with Oracle and SQL DB. SQL Server administration a must.
• Prior test or production experience in a 24x7 support environment.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with Domain administration/AD.
• Need to understand conceptually SAN and hardware configuration.
• Configuration Management or Version/Source Control experience (PVCS, Star Team, Harvest, etc) a plus.
Desired Profile ???
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for applications and systems using stack traces.
• Build, maintain, and deploy new Windows and UNIX in-house applications across multiple environments.
• Install and configure systems/software unassisted.
• Debug system services.
• Provide 24 x 7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members.
• Provide senior level technical support for Windows/UNIX related project activities.
• Build and modify systems to meet project and user requirements.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Configure and tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization.
• Ability to Multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Must be proactive, responsive and a good communicator.
• Ability to work in team and handle pressure and demands.
• Previous experience in 24hrs/day, 7days/week system support capacity.
• Ready to work in shifts.
• Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills.
