Roles and Responsibilities: DB2,JCL/PROC, MF-COBOL, VSAM, CICS, COBOL
Skill & Job Requirements: Mainframe Senior Developer should have the following competencies & experience.

Should be competent and experienced in Mainframe technology.
Should have a minimum of 3 - 4 years of Commanding knowledge on JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM or PL1.
Preferably should have worked on Banking and Cards applications.
Knowledge in Banking/Securities/Insurance or Financial services Domain is added advantage.
Should have excellent analytical and communication skills.
Should have excellent problem solving skills.
Should have strong commitment to meet customer needs.
Commanding knowledge on IMS, DB2, COBOL and CICS or PL/I.
Should have extensive experience in Requirements Analysis, Design, Knowledge Acquisition and Portfolio Analysis along with problem solving & Communication skills.

Qualification: BE / BTech

Skills: At Wipro Technologies a Senior Developer will be responsible for performing following roles and responsibilities.

Customer requirement, design and SDLC activities in Mainframe Technologies.
Perform requirements analysis, design, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes and technically guide the development work in Mainframe and COBOL technologies for our projects.
Your creativity, innovation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment would be of good use.
Would be responsible for requirement gathering, analysis and design of applications and aid the team in development and testing.
Taking part in knowledge session, understand the applications thoroughly and document them in SMTD format.
Resolve severity 3 and 4 incidents as part secondary support and severity 1 and 2 part of primary support.
Act as consultants to support development activities right from STUDY to Implementation phase.
This project requires an experienced programmer in Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS ad DB2).
The candidate should able to monitor and track the progress of the project. Also, must be able design, develop plans, code and test the applications developed in the above technologies.
The candidate should be able to work independently and also with the team whenever required and based on the need.
Strong technical skills on the areas mentioned above, along with the inter & intra personal skills are required.
